Oh good. I'm glad to hear he's still at it. Will be patiently awaiting his creative awesomeness.

Open worlds have no story.
I'm still waiting for Max's stories. He seemed like he had some good ones and I ain't giving up on him just yet. Same here, I'd like to the know the plot. While the Humans can be either campaign or mission based gameplay, I think the dinosaurs are more suitable to level-based gameplay, with end of the line in each level, but continues the progress after finishing one level, more like The Lost World console version, IMO. But as Thag pointed out, I'm curious about the story. I hope there will be some mystery aspects on it. But whatever it is, I'm sure it will be great

An open-world campaign would be great (with both human and dinosaur missions). Would it be possible with Unreal Engine 3? I don't think the engine is capable of rendering large open worlds like Grand Theft Auto IV or Red Dead Redemption.

Do any of you think a Borderlands like Coop Mode in this Game would be cool? Drop in Drop out? Being able to be dinos or Humans. Well if they do Dinos they were all Dinos and So on for the Humans.

I think there's a Primal Carnage Mobile, but it's more of an on-rails game. :/

I think an open world singleplayer mode really goes well beyond the scope of the game. Yes, some games these days try to be both a competitive multiplayer game as well as a compelling open world singleplayer game, but generally games tend to work best if they focus on one of those aspects. Take the Unreal Tournament series, the single player was basically a series of multiplayer matches against bots. That's basically how I imagine the Primal Carnage singleplayer. You're playing on the same kind of maps, with the same characters using the same kind of equipment. But the scope of the mission can be wider. Sometimes you will have a team of bots, sometimes you will be alone. Sometimes your bots will just run of and fend for themselves, sometimes they follow you (perhaps you can even get some command options that let you decide how they behave). Sometimes the dinosaurs will be real opponents, sometimes there will be a lot of indifferent NPC's, just walking around a bit unless you get too close. In some levels you have to play as a specific class, in others you can choose between some or all classes. As long as there are no escort missions, I'm fine with it.
A dinosaur campaign will be a bit harder to imagine storywise, but since people play this game for the dinosaurs it could well be included. Perhaps "bla bla bla nuclear power explosion intelligent dinosaurs" they seek out the humans on purpose and carry out their own missions to stop them. "Find and identify all the intruders", "sabotage those machines/trucks/planes/boats" and "kill the scientist in charge" could be examples of objectives. The storyline would feel a bit silly, but it's fun...
(Edit: Of course non of this is going to be in the first version of the game, due to no AI.)
