The Pteranodon: Dinosaur Scout Class

The Pteranodon is a flying scout that can report human positions to the other dinosaurs.
We reckon it is going to be great for gameplay - it definitely gives us a point of difference from your other team based shooters. And, what could be more satisfying than sniping one down as a Scientist?

Tactical Summary:
This is the scout class, the Pteranodon has the best vision out of all the dinosaurs. Combine its superior vision with its ability to fly and you have an amazing asset for the dinosaur team. Once the humans are spotted, the Pteranodon reports their location to the dinosaur team. The Pteranodon can also swoop down and attack the human team from above. The swoop can knock the humans down, leaving them vulnerable to the T-Rex's stomp among other things. The Pteranodon can also pick humans up, flying them away from the group or dropping them to their death.

Pros:
• Only dinosaur that can fly
• Hard to spot in the air
• Can swoop down at high speed and pick up/knock down enemies
• Great for scouting

Cons:
• Very low health
• Slow ground movement
• Weak attacks

Flying:
The Pteranodon can soar high in the sky, scouting the area or preparing to ambush the humans from the air.

Aerial Swoop:
The Pteranodon swoops down from the sky, knocking down any human in its path and causing moderate damage.

Grab:
The Pteranodon can pick up a human and fly him away from the group for a short period of time, after this period has ended the human is dropped causing additional fall damage.

Scout's Vision:
The Pteranodon has superior vision, allowing it to zoom in much like a sniper scope in order to scout the humans from the air.

*Yes, we know that a Pteranodon is not a "Dinosaur", calling it one is in reference to the "dinosaur team".

Sweet! it has been released at last so I can talk about it anywhere ^_^

this will be my number 1 dinosaur class of choice. much like the Smoker was on Left 4 Dead 1.
I will become an expert with atleast 1 dinosaur class and I am sure I will put alot of effort to make sure this is the class.

During Rex attack:

"Don't worry the Heavy can deal with it while we keep the others off his back"
*get's grabbed and taken into the air*
"oh s**t!"
*team get mauled by the Rex and the others while the Heavy enjoys a nice flight before having a free-falling session*

It looks awesome. :D
I'm definitely going to have fun playing with this guy, it's a really nice perspective to have in the game too. I'm more for the speedy agile characters though. :P

i have an idea for an attack! it flys down lands on someone pecks at him for a few seconds and quickly flys off. sort of a hit and run attack.

I still say that it is a bit off, specially the neck and wings, but awesome playability.
